The Shaker Bed is the newest piece of furniture added to the Union Wood Co. collection of wooden bed frames made in Canada. The bed got its name directly from the Shaker style of furniture design and construction.

Shaker Bed - Who Are the Shakers?
The Shakers were a religious sect of people from the 18th to the 20th century who were known for their principles of simplicity, unity, and honesty. Their dedication to the Shaker faith influenced the way they approached construction and design. Furniture was made to serve a function, so Shaker woodworkers only included details that enhanced the quality of what they were building.
In the traditional spirit of the Shakers, the Shaker Bed was designed with the simple intention of providing you with a bed you can always count on.
