The Birch Bark Series is a collection of storage cabinets highlighting the stunning textural contrast between natural birch bark and lacquered cabinetry.

Birch bark has long been used in Northern indigenous handicraft due to its unique quality, character, strength and adaptability. The Birch Bark Series presents the material  in a more modern form, where authentic birch bark harvested in northeastern Alaska is framed in a seamless black or white lacquer cabinet. Each birch bark door or drawer front represents the tree in its natural form - no two are alike.

***The Birch Bark is a "living finish" which is itself creates a striking and beautiful texture. The Birch Bark is coated with a proprietary mixture to keep the unit from shedding however some very minor flaking may occur in the first 24-48 hours.
